The Stakeholder and Communications Manager will support the project by developing and delivering stakeholder management and communications processes throughout the project lifecycle. The role will also update and develop the CRM strategy to ensure efficient, coordinated and transparent communications with project stakeholders.
You will promote Mace’s Safety First value by exhibiting visible safety behaviours, sharing lessons learned and using Mace’s HSW framework to support staff wellbeing, while possessing technical expertise in local health and safety regulations and championing a diverse, inclusive environment.
You will ensure quality systems are managed in line with service excellence, deliver and manage project plans from inception through design, procurement and construction according to the delivery programme, and support senior project managers and wider teams to achieve timely and accurate project delivery.
You will support the Stakeholder Lead in developing stakeholder management and communications requirements for contractors during procurement, evaluate submissions, oversee the delivery partner’s stakeholder management, and report progress against the stakeholder management strategy to the project board and senior governance.
You will manage project budgets, highlight risks, challenges and mitigations, contribute to the long‑term development of the function or business unit, and uphold Mace values by driving positive impact for people, clients and the planet.
You will manage design and consultant teams collaboratively, ensure the project team and stakeholders meet strategic KPIs, and actively network to leverage Mace’s centres of excellence, knowledge hub and best‑practice insights.

The role requires at least 5 years of stakeholder and communications management experience, including development and delivery of CRM systems on high‑value metro rail or similarly complex projects, and a proven record of driving best practice in technical stakeholder and CRM processes.
A BA/BSc in public relations, business or related field, excellent verbal and written communication, ability to manage technical information, and professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE or equivalent) are essential. Desirable experience includes quality management, process improvement, rail sector delivery, property or infrastructure project management, large‑team collaboration, stakeholder relationship building and understanding of carbon and sustainability considerations.
