Senior Construction Engineer

Description

• Chair site meetings and promote a best-in-class customer and stakeholder experience.
• Manage relationships with third-party stakeholders (e.g., utilities and local authorities).
• Coordinate site drawings and maintain accurate quality and site records.
• Review design drawings, manage RFIs, and participate in Design Team Meetings.
• Coordinate subcontractors and service providers, ensuring quality, testing, and commissioning targets are met.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, design documents, and relevant standards.
• Monitor programme delivery, report progress, and intervene to avoid delays.
• Drive value engineering.
• Conduct continuous site inspections, resolving issues promptly.
• Communicate approved technical submittals and ensure understanding across site teams.

Requirements

A well-known developer is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join its Galway team on a two-year fixed-term contract, for a large scale housing project.

• Level 8 Engineering qualification (HETAC or equivalent).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, and take ownership of assigned
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar engineering role.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
