Senior Engineer

Description

• Oversee project managers, geologists, engineers, and teams responsible for the development of technical fieldwork, reports and documents.
• Sustain and develop business opportunities and maintain positive relationships with the client.
• Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures.
• Function as designated contract liaison with client on project contract performance and delivery.
• Ensure financial reports are prepared and submitted to the client as needed.
• Develop project organization and staffing assignments.
• Attract, grow and retain high quality staff.
• Actively coach and support the career development of staff and take personal responsibility for employee engagement, retention and recruitment.
• Develop, and/or participate in development of proposals for environmental services on a projectbyproject basis.
• Actively participate in the preparation of proposals and the development of fee estimates
• Business development and proposal preparation.
• Uphold a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, encourages individual integrity, and focuses on the customer and service delivery.
• Responsible for ensuring adherence to project delivery processes.
• Work with existing and expand Stantec’s client base in Hawaii.
• Perform quality assurance function for work products before they are submitted to clients.
• Reinforce corporate quality and safety standards.
• Oversee and manage the development of project scope and budget and oversight of project technical requirements.
• Oversee the receipt of purchase orders and project set up.
• Review and approve billing reports before preparation of invoices.
• Oversee the implementation of corporate quality and safety standards into the projects.

Requirements

• Extensive experience with working with public sector, city and county clients within federal/state/county/city regulatory jurisdictions.
• Good driving record and valid driver’s license
• Master’s degree Preferred
• Minimum 15 years of engineering experience.
• Experience with California, Washington, Hawaii, Alaska
• The candidate will have demonstrated leadership, communication, and people skills. This should be demonstrated through previous experience in the management of large professional teams, preferably in an integrated design environment.
• The candidate will maintain welldeveloped written communication skills in the preparation of technical reports, correspondence, and proposals.
• Professional Registration Preferred Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.
• Bachelor’s degree in Geologic, Engineering, or related Science
