Tasks

-Survey Project Management: Duties include client management, business development, proposals, and financial management of survey and geospatial projects. Provide technical expertise and leadership during the proposal and planning phases. -Quality Control: Assist with the preparation of plans and conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) on said plans. Ensure project quality control and quality assurance processes are in place. -Collaborative Consulting: Coordinate with geospatial specialists and integrate aerial mapping and remote sensing technologies. Prepare surveying and mapping solutions to support project/program requirements. -Surveying Deliverables: Perform analysis for complex boundary surveys and prepare associated plats and boundary descriptions. Conduct advanced calculations involving field survey data. Prepare or review survey reports and legal descriptions. -Manage survey staff resource levels, including hiring and supervising all technical survey staff and field teams. -Routine coordination with program and project management staff in Woolpert’s markets. -Strategic planning and oversight of resources, technology investment, and client support directly impacting performance of the Midwest based team. -Resource Management: Coach, mentor, direct, and delegate tasks to technical team members to ensure quality project deliverables. -Support internal sales efforts, including proposal preparation, project estimating, and participating in interviews by sharing technical knowledge. -Facilitate the personal and professional growth of team members through coaching, training, and development activities. -Maintain and monitor fleet and equipment assets. -Responsible for effective planning and scheduling of workload and performance of team members. -Represent the firm at various functions as needed.

What You Bring

-Experience in coordinating, planning, and scheduling survey tasks and field crews. -Technology Expertise: Possess sufficient technical expertise of cutting-edge surveying technology, including total stations, GNSS, LiDAR (terrestrial, wearable, and mobile), and UAS. -Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. -Ability to quickly adapt and respond to industry changes and internal initiatives. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. -Ability and availability to travel as needed to project, client, or corporate locations. -Strong client interaction skills and the ability to set and uphold project standards. -Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office products, Trimble software/hardware, AutoCAD C3D. -Professional Survey License in Ohio is prefreed. -Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of 8 years of related work experience in the land surveying field. -Proven experience in Land title research, metes & bounds preparation, and boundary reconstruction/Boundary analysis -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record. -Diligent and routine coordination with Survey Discipline leadership and contemporaries on production and capacity, including sector technology, human resources, and accounting managers.
