Technical Advisor - Solar
Wienerberger Uk
UK’s leading provider of wall, roof and landscaping building envelope products.
Provide technical support and design for solar PV systems across UK & Ireland.
Support the wider technical team in the development of future products for the renewables portfolio.
Conducting regular training sessions
Offer design services on PV/renewables systems to all stakeholders from architects through to end-users (this includes designing systems, string information and batteries and inverters).
Attend sites to investigate and report on renewables related complaints.
Offer technical support over the phone/by email for the growing renewables offering.
Support Marketing at trade shows and merchants to promote PV and renewables.
Maintain, deliver and improve the PV/renewables training offering.
Attend construction sites and support installers in both their first installs and with any troubleshooting.

Knowledge and understanding of PV/renewable systems and their installation.
Able to work on own initiative and manage workload and training schedules.
You will be an experienced technical trainer/teach with experience working on/attending construction sites.
An appreciation and understanding of relevant construction industry standards
On site experience in the installation of roofing and/or PV/renewable systems
The ability to integrate with and work with the wider Technical team and other departments.
Working knowledge of air source heat pumps
Technical support/design experience in renewables (e.g. EasyPV)
Ability to read and interpret 2D housing plans, elevations, and details
Good numerical skills
Technically competent, with an ability to learn product and system information to a confident, detailed level.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Qualified electrician and/or MCS accreditation
Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel across the UK & Ireland region regularly
