With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non‑diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulics, electrical, air brake systems, engines, HVAC, suspension, drivetrain, and steering. The role may also include basic tire work such as replacement, rotation, and tread depth checks, supporting drivers on a single fleet of state‑of‑the‑art vehicles.

The technician maintains a working knowledge and moderate skill proficiency in chassis, refuse bodies, engine, suspension, drivetrain, steering, HVAC, and welding, performing preventative and repair maintenance both on‑site and on the road. They safely provide road service, diagnose malfunctions with electronic tools, complete company training, and perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates should understand work‑order labor standards and have experience with maintenance on Classes 1‑5 light/medium‑duty and heavy‑duty Class 7‑8 trucks, aircraft, or ships. ASE certifications, a commercial driver’s license, and a valid driver’s license are a plus. Minimum one year of technician experience with gasoline and diesel equipment or recent graduation from an accredited automotive program is required, along with the ability to perform basic inspections across multiple systems.
The position offers a $3,000 retention bonus and a pay range of $24.70‑$34.00 per hour, varying by location.
