PQM Technician 1

Description

• Inspecting asphalt and concrete for acceptable materials and mix; proper placement of asphalt spreading, rolling, depth, alignment and compaction; roadway and bridge structures conformance to plans; placement of culverts; structural operations such as foundation excavation; placement of piling, reinforcing and structural steel, concrete and backfill; traffic control and erosion control devices.
• Independent inspection of roadway construction, and/or structure, and materials to assure compliance with the contract.

Requirements

• Valid GA Driver's License
• Knowledge of general mathematical and geometry functions.
• Ability to take notes and prepare reports.
• Certifications related to areas listed above a plus.
• Willingness to learn new skills and work outside.
• High school diploma/GED required
• Prior experience in quality control or a similar role is a plus
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Various calculations and computations including standard geometric shapes.
• College experience or Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately
