In this role you will perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools, troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems, and respond to warranty calls. You will load controller software, conduct diagnostics, calibrate systems, and maintain thorough documentation while communicating progress to management and customers.
- Perform system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration tools
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
- Respond to basic warranty calls
- Load system‑level controller software and conduct complex diagnostics
- Calibrate systems using electronic test equipment
- Complete administrative tasks: timesheets, expense reports, on‑site documentation
- Document changes for as‑built records and keep stakeholders informed
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training

The position requires a 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or equivalent experience of 3‑5 years in HVAC services. Candidates must understand HVAC control and facilities management systems, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be able to program HVAC software and lead mechanics on non‑critical automation tasks.
- 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or related field, or 3‑5 years HVAC industry experience
- Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, and peripheral equipment installation
- Strong interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally
- Ability to explain technical information to both technical and non‑technical audiences
- Leadership skills to support mechanics on non‑complex building automation equipment
- Proficiency with PC and HVAC‑related software programming
