Draughtsman

Description

The role is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings for electrical and renewable‑energy projects using AutoCAD or MICRO Station software, translating conceptual designs into precise documents that support successful project execution.

• Create precise technical drawings, schematics, and layouts for electrical projects, adhering to industry standards.
• Design solar PV systems, including panel layouts, string sizing, and wiring diagrams.
• Collaborate with managers, engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to meet project specifications.
• Develop detailed layouts, circuit diagrams, sketches, and drawings for new or modified equipment.
• Maintain organized project documentation, including revisions and as‑built drawings.
• Provide technical support to project teams and other departments as needed.
• Suggest design modifications to improve efficiency and cost‑effectiveness.
• Identify and resolve design issues or discrepancies proactively.
• Stay current with industry codes, standards, and best practices for electrical design and solar PV.

Requirements

• Hold advanced vocational or technical training from a reputable institution.
• Possess a diploma or higher in electrical engineering (preferred).
• Demonstrate advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and MICRO Station.
• Have 2–5 years of drafting experience on electrical projects.
• Understand client specification requirements.
• Maintain functional knowledge of electrical and solar project operations.
• Possess basic engineering concepts and high drafting speed.
• Able to detect corrections and produce accurate drawings.
• Show willingness to meet project deadlines.
