- Familiarity with Substation major equipment and the specifications, schematics, and wiring thereof:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized accredited program
- CT Saturation studies
- LV DC Systems (Station Batteries / Chargers)
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC, NERC, etc.
- Previous experience with large scale renewable energy projects
- Previous experience in a consultancy environment
- EIT Certification
- General knowledge of substation construction practices
- Communication schematics and connection details
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes
- Station service AC load calculations and transformer sizing
- General knowledge of relay settings / protection device coordination
- General knowledge of SCADA and communications systems
- Relay panel elevation and BOM
- HV and MV Circuit Breakers
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized accredited program
- Strong knowledge of substation zones of protection
- LV AC Systems (Station Service)
- 4+ years work experience in high voltage substation P&C design
- AC/DC schematics
- Professional engineering license or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire.
- General knowledge of the industry and technology trends specific to substations
