The position involves safely operating, repairing, rebuilding, and performing maintenance on company‑owned or leased heavy‑duty diesel trucks, equipment, and rolling stock to ensure they operate safely.
- Diagnose and repair heavy‑duty diesel trucks and equipment.
- Maintain and service diesel, CNG, gas, and electric vehicles.
- Complete daily reports, work orders, and parts orders.
- Plan and schedule repairs using M5 planner and procure parts.
- Review mechanical write‑ups and coordinate repair schedules.
- Ensure safe work conditions and compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide and maintain tools for heavy/hydraulic equipment maintenance.
- Keep work area clean.
- Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Assist in training and orienting new employees.
- Stay current with technology via manuals and technical training.
- Meet safety‑sensitive function criteria per company standards.
- Follow detailed instructions, work independently, and keep accurate records.
- Read and use repair and parts manuals in English.
- Operate any required vehicle or equipment.
- Maintain continuous mental and visual focus.
- Frequently handle tools and equipment; lift/push/pull up to 100 lb.

- At least 1 year experience as a diesel mechanic with a valid 310T certification.

- Perform a wide range of physical movements (stand, sit, walk, reach, etc.).
- Meet visual requirements (close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, focus adjustment).
- Exposure to loud noise, humidity, extreme temperatures, moving parts, vibration, chemicals, fumes, and airborne particles.
