The Role
Overview
Lead plant safety, optimize equipment, manage budgets and refractories, mentor engineers

Tasks
-Coordinate refractory related activities, including selection, ordering, removal, installation, and maintenance of refractory history -Oversee the optimization of production equipment, including kiln, grinding mills, and related processes and inputs including raw materials and fuels -Provide leadership in development and implementation of plant safety initiatives -Supervise and oversee development of EIT and Co-op Engineering personnel as assigned -Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business at manufacturing locations and job sites where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels -Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts in cooperation with the Production Manager

What You Bring
-Proven communication and relationship management skills -Excellent working knowledge with a variety of software -Problem solving skills and multi-discipline thinking -Bachelor’s degree in engineering required, Mechanical engineering discipline strongly preferred. -Our pre-employment process includes reference checks, a medical screening, a criminal record check and a drivers abstract check. -Previous leadership experience is an asset
