The ERP Director provides strategic and operational leadership for Comfort Systems’ enterprise resource planning environment, focusing primarily on the Coins ERP platform. This role ensures the system supports business goals by overseeing implementations, continuous improvement, support operations, technical architecture, learning, and team development. The director partners with executive leadership and functional departments to deliver scalable, reliable, and optimized ERP solutions that drive operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include owning the stability and performance of the Coins ERP system, defining and communicating an ERP strategy aligned with organizational priorities, and managing vendor relationships, licensing, and upgrades. The director leads ERP implementations, integrations, and module rollouts, overseeing project governance, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation while translating business requirements into effective solutions. Continuous improvement efforts are directed through a dedicated team that prioritizes system enhancements and monitors usage, adoption, and business value metrics. Support operations are managed by establishing service‑level agreements, escalation processes, and comprehensive documentation and training materials. Additionally, the role oversees overall system architecture, hosting reliability, cybersecurity standards, and disaster recovery procedures.
Qualifications for the position include a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s preferred) and at least five years of progressive ERP leadership experience. Candidates must demonstrate proven expertise in ERP system management, a strong technical background in architecture and IT infrastructure, and a track record of leading large‑scale implementations and continuous improvement initiatives. Experience developing and mentoring technical teams, setting performance goals, and guiding career growth is essential, as are strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational leadership skills.
