• Perform testing on general building sites and facilities.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports summarizing activities, observations, and density calculations.

Requirements

The Earth & Environment team is hiring a full‑time Construction Materials Testing Intern for the summer of 2026, based in either Louisville, KY or Lexington, KY. The role is temporary and open to candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program.

• Enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or related undergraduate program, graduating August 2026 or later; 18+ years old.
• Demonstrated interest in construction materials testing and strong desire to develop related skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication abilities for both engineering and non‑engineering audiences.
• Ability to follow direction from leadership, mentors, and managers.
• Basic proficiency in technical writing, office software, spreadsheets, and related tools.
• Capability to lift up to 50 lb and pass WSP’s motor vehicle screening.
• Proven record of workplace safety compliance and eligibility to work in the United States.
• Enrolled in a related master’s or PhD program with an anticipated graduation date of August 2026 or later.
• Prior internship experience and leadership involvement on campus.

Compensation ranges from $22.16 to $28.03 per hour, with final pay determined by education, experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location, and the company reserves the right to adjust within legal guidelines.
