The Role

Overview

Inspect electrical, control, and communication systems for transportation infrastructure projects.

Tasks

-Conduct and document observations of construction as it progresses -Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents -Oversee testing, commissioning and acceptance of specialized electrical systems. -Conduct inspection of electrical, controls, high/low voltage systems, fiber, etc. at Transportation facilities like Airports, Tunnels, Bridges, Terminals, Transit, Ports, etc. -Collaborate with other field representatives or Project Managers

What You Bring

-5+ years’ experience in construction inspection of electrical power and communications work on major transportation/infrastructure projects for public agencies, such as PANYNJ, MTA, NJ Transit, NJTA, NJDOT. -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, or NICET Level II certification or a comparable combination of education and experience. -OSHA 30hour training -Demonstrate familiarity with a broad spectrum of construction materials, methods and processes for buildings and facilities -PE license in New York or New Jersey -Excellent Organizational and communication skills required.
