The Site Planner 1 supports the New Home Starts department by handling lot fit requests, site plan redraws, and preparing preliminary site plans using AutoCAD. This role ensures compliance with Perry Homes design standards, code requirements, and community guidelines.
- Complete site plan redraws as assigned.
- Set up preliminary site plans from surveys or plats on AutoCAD.
- Maintain understanding of Perry Homes design standards, code, and community guidelines for lot fits and redraws.
- Ensure quality and accuracy of all drawings.
- Complete projects on very short notice with extreme time constraints when required.
- Perform mathematical calculations, including percentages, basic algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

The position requires strong attention to detail, initiative, and problem‑solving skills, and may involve completing projects on very short notice under tight deadlines.
Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, preferably an associate’s degree in computer drafting or design, and a minimum of one year of drafting experience with AutoCAD, along with basic knowledge of residential architectural language and proficiency in MS Office.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, initiative, and problem‑solving/analysis.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Computer Drafting or Design preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in basic drafting methods and AutoCAD.
- Basic knowledge of architectural language pertaining to residential construction.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
- Ability to read blueprints, surveys, and Metes & Bounds descriptions.
- Civil drafting experience preferred.
