Configure, test, and validate protection relays and cubicles for utility/industrial grids.
Abide by all GE Corporate and local policies and procedures including but not limited to Integrity, Diversity, Proprietary Information, Conflict of Interest.
Provide weekly time sheets and monthly reports including status of all work undertaken by the Engineer.
Warns the project manager and the technical lead in case of budget deviation forecast / any technical deviation which put the project in risk.
Work in a safe manner and ensure appropriate training is taken to do tasks safely.
Report any accidents or injuries while on the job.
Maintain strong safety mindset to assure the executed work reflects the technical requirements within GE safety standards.
Apply and adhere the company’s quality, environment health & safety policies to the work at Factory and site.
Seeks resolutions on hardware, Software, or performance related protection/design issues.
Ensure RAMS produced and approved before performing any works.
Support site activities when required.
Manage Fault reports for resolution via Company’s process. To adhere to all required procedures and processes in force at any time.
Communicate Project schedule progress, report quality issues and tools/equipment requirements.
Perform configuration of protection relays, Validation, factory acceptance test (FAT) of Protection systems.
Oversee cubicle safety & good housekeeping practices of team members.

Ability to perform Functional testing of Protection panels.
Electrical Engineer with over 5 years’ experience in substations ranging from 11kV to 400kV
The incumbent must possess strong knowledge of protection functions, Electrical Scheme, and cubicle design.
Ability to travel to customer sites
Strong technical skills on Programming and testing Protection Relays.
Experience in Factory Acceptance Testing of protection schemes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus and ability to cooperate with the different departments.
A rigorous team working approach with a high level of self-motivation, flexibility, and self-learning aptitude.
Candidates with proven knowledge of GE protection relays and Substation automation solutions are preferred.
Electrical (motors, generators, power grid and generation)
Experience with electrical Protection relays (LV, MV & HV), detailed design is essential for the job.
Knowledge on Power & Protection Systems.
Ability to organize, prioritize and achieve milestones and deliverables.
The ability to work independently within a dynamic work environment is essential.

Strong working knowledge of relays configuration and testing
Experience on performing testing including but not limited to checking protection functions via secondary injections, GOOSE testing, signal testing with SCADA on IEC61850.
