The Project Procurement Planner ensures timely delivery of critical equipment by monitoring, expediting, and coordinating documents and material flow from internal and external suppliers. The role aligns procurement and delivery with project schedules, Hitachi Energy policy, contractual obligations, quality standards, and health, safety and environmental requirements.
In this role you will assess project schedules, supplier contractual milestones, and manufacturing plans to provide feedback to SCM and project managers. You will attend kick‑off meetings, review documentation for compliance, monitor supplier progress, and proactively manage expediting and escalations to keep projects on track.

- Review project and supplier documentation for completeness and compliance.
- Monitor supplier manufacturing progress and procurement milestones, escalating deviations.
- Maintain accurate records of expediting activities, communications, and delivery milestones.
- Liaise between suppliers and project teams for technical and commercial clarifications.
- Request and coordinate order status reports and inspections, including photographic evidence.
- Identify and propose expediting strategies, escalating potential delays early.
- Support contract and claims management, assisting PSCM and Category Manager in negotiations.
- Contribute to monthly project reviews, escalation forums, and lessons‑learned sharing.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in supply chain, planning, engineering, project management or a related field and has at least five years of experience in expediting, planning or supply‑chain roles, preferably in EPC or power infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge of project schedules, procurement, manufacturing and logistics, together with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, is required.

- At least 5 years’ experience in expediting, planning or supply‑chain roles, preferably EPC or power infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of project schedules, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics processes.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts) and Power BI.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
- Excellent communication, coordination, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working with international suppliers and knowledge of Incoterms.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and uphold HSE and integrity standards.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
