The HR Systems Analyst will maintain the integrity and reliability of the organization’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS), ensuring all HR functions and processes meet the needs, requirements, and objectives of the HR department. The role collaborates with HR staff and organizational leadership to define short‑ and long‑term information system objectives and develops plans to modify or replace HRIS applications, modules, and systems.
The analyst assesses current system utilization, recommends improvements such as training, customization, and enhancements, and prepares reports and presentations for the HR Manager and company leaders. Responsibilities include designing custom functions, automated queries, filters, macros, and reports, as well as planning, testing, and customizing new HRIS applications.
The position creates training materials, provides user training and hands‑on support, and ensures system compliance with data security and privacy requirements. It also monitors HRIS trends and vendor developments, leads process‑improvement initiatives within HR, and acts as a catalyst for change.
Required competencies include excellent interpersonal and technical support skills, strong organizational attention to detail, analytical problem‑solving abilities, and familiarity with HR policies. The analyst must keep information confidential, be proficient with Microsoft Office, understand functional analysis and system design, and possess deep technical knowledge of at least one commercial HRIS product.
The role operates in a clerical office environment using standard equipment, involves prolonged sitting at a computer, and may occasionally require lifting objects up to 15 lb. It is a full‑time exempt position that may require long hours and involves minimal travel (up to 5 %). No supervisory responsibilities are required.
Required education is a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline; at least three years of experience with HR business systems is highly preferred. Additional eligibility includes a valid state driver’s license.
