The role is for a defence‑related major infrastructure and construction project in the UK valued at £100m‑£150m. Mace will act as the client’s representative, monitoring, guiding and reporting on the principal contractor, and SC clearance is essential.
Safety first is a core value; you will champion exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability and compliance standards, applying local health and safety regulations and fostering a diverse, inclusive environment that supports the wellbeing of the team.
Under the client‑focus value you will manage the delivery of key assignments, provide strategic direction and monitor progress, support planning performance for specified sectors, work with D&B contractors to develop and assure detailed schedules, ensure NEC4 compliance, review schedule updates and compensation events, and interface with project teams, the PMO and portfolio scheduling.
Creating opportunity for our people involves supporting the project team, encouraging knowledge sharing, networking, innovation and best‑practice learning across Mace’s centres of excellence, and maintaining effective communication and collaborative relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
Integrity means supporting senior management in negotiations, contract development and business development, applying due diligence, contributing to long‑term strategy for a function or business unit, and holding others accountable to Mace values while making a positive impact for people, clients and the planet.
You will need the ability to obtain UK Security Clearance, at least five years of uninterrupted UK experience, and expertise as a construction scheduler with Primavera P6 and NEC4 experience.
Additional preferred qualifications include membership of a professional body such as APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM or IEMA, extensive experience planning defence sector projects, deep property or infrastructure project management expertise, and experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
The role is based in Moorgate, requiring 2‑3 days per week on site. Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes diverse candidates, offering part‑time, flexible and hybrid working options where suitable.
