- Task ownership of the Early Warning database which includes tracking, providing training and updating about proposed changes in product related standards and legislation.
- Contributing to the Carbon Reduction, Sustainability & Material Efficiency targets
- Researching, processing and recording proposed changes to product related standards and legislation to assist the Standards Manager.
- Providing feedback on proposed product related standards and legislation changes to external parties such as Trade Associations, Standards Committees and Government Departments.
- Communicating proposed changes in product related standards and legislation to a cross-functional team of experts (both internal and external). Taking a proactive part in departmental briefing / meetings with a range of audiences in the business.
- Fair performance comparison between technologies and products
- Tracking the progress of changes to standards legislation.
- Gain a deeper understanding of industry standards and regulatory frameworks through research and application.
- Build effective communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to different audiences.
- Preventing unfavourable political and legal conditions for the industry
