Assist in the final procurement phase of the preconstruction process including closeout and handover to field teams.
Maintain professional relationships with employees, customers, clients, and subcontractors.
Assist with action items related to value analysis process and historical data.
Support Preconstruction & Estimating teams with estimate preparation, trade management, file management, document control, and progress reporting.
Prepare correspondence as directed by assigned Estimator to vendors and trade partners in connection with performing their assigned trades.
Request, file, and distribute trade partner proposals relative to their scope of work to bid package managers.
Participate in training, meetings, and orientation.
Assist with preparation of quantity take-offs and studies for project items using either traditional or computer-aided programs, learning and discussing details necessary to complete project.
Assist with preparation of and conduct correspondence and communication as directed to Architects, Engineers, vendors, and subcontractors in connection with performing their assigned trades.
Provide progress reports to supervisor and be receptive to learning about construction management.
Attend and assist with preparing action items and minutes associated with department meetings.
Relate and apply knowledge acquired in the academic setting to work activities.
Attend project site visits to observe and document construction field activities.
Serve as liaison with trade partners on distribution of bid information and bid status via both email and phone calls.
Comply with safety protocols, follow safety expectations, and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment).
Assume personal and professional accountability for own actions and activities
Assist with document management for project, including receiving drawings and specifications, and provide proper file structure and distribution to stakeholders.
Assist in administration of the project bid portals.
Review construction drawings to define scope of work for internal teams and trade partners.
Coordinate project information and deliverables between in-house specialty departments.

Enrolled and actively pursuing college or university accredited degree program or enrolled in a Co-op program, recommended majors include and not limited to Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or other related field of study, and at minimum 1 year of completed education, and/or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Able to take direction, apply active listening skills, learn and process information quickly, ask clarifying questions, and follow tasks through to completion
Desire to work in construction management and to learn about construction industry
Ability to follow and take directions, ask questions, and follow through on commitments
Basic computer and data entry skills and familiar with Microsoft Office suite of applications
Able to work independently, with direction and supervision, and in team environment
Demonstrate interpersonal skills including student leadership, teamwork, volunteerism, or other community involvement
Some travel may be required, access to reliable transportation require
Ability to read and comprehend written information
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail
Must be 18 years of age, to work at a construction project site
Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills, in English language required
