EPA Certified Refrigerant Technician-HVAC

Description

• Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in all reclaim activities.
• Generate reports on the types and quantities of refrigerants reclaimed.
• Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure efficient and thorough recovery.
• Identify and address any potential issues with the equipment during the recovery process.
• Handle and sort materials through the reclaim process.
• Perform tests on recovered refrigerants to meet industry standards.
• Decommission and dismantle HVAC systems, ensuring the safe removal of refrigerants.

Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work with dust/oil .
• Able to operate pump down equipment for refrigerant recovery.
• Willing and a ble to train others in the reclaim process.
• Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy objects.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigerants, and their environmental impact.
• Able to use hand and power tools , including metal cutting saws .
• Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Type III EPA Freon Recovery Certification, or similar.
• Has an attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Able to handle and sort different materials .
• Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous rec laim experience.
