  • Provide guidance and leadership to our large multidisciplinary project team, with a particular emphasis on rail systems and stations. This work will impact live train operations and multistorey buildings above and adjacent to the Works.
  • Build out and strengthen the project team and enhance technical skills.
  • Provide technical mentoring to the current and future team by sharing technical knowledge and best practices in railway engineering.
  • Deliver a highquality project on time and within budget, while achieving appropriate margins for Arup.
  • Procurement of passenger rail projects through alternative project delivery contracts
  • Act as the Bid and Project Director of the Arup for major rail project work.
  • Undertake high level stakeholder engagement with TTC, City of Toronto, Provincial government Ministries, Agencies and other public bodies

  • Understanding of complex underground works and tunneling in a dense urban environment
  • Understanding of underground passenger rail systems including track, signaling, communication and power
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • Minimum of 20 years with 5 years’ experience delivering rail projects in a collaborative delivery model
  • P.Eng in Ontario or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading detailed design for large multidisciplinary underground rail projects and programs, in Canada and internationally
