Possesses specialized discipline or functional expertise that is utilized across office and/or business line boundaries to complete work.
Certified as an EIT; PTOE Certification is preferred.
Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills and be able to apply professional knowledge to the solution of both routine and non-routine tasks and engineering activities.
Demonstrate specialty or deep functional or discipline knowledge which positions the Lead Engineer as a respected regional/national expert in their focal area.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, and be professionally registered.
Expected to develop financial project management skills through assigned project work and assigned project management assignments.
Active involvement in professional organizations such as ITE, ITS America, ASCE, and APWA is desired.
Demonstrates strong technical verbal and technical writing skills and be able to read technical literature and engineering plans.
8+ years of relevant engineering experience with a focus on Traffic related projects including studies, analysis, traffic signal design and modeling.
Valid driver’s license in the state of residence and a reliable means of transportation to travel for company business.
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and discipline specific software programs.
Capable of correctly operating technical analysis equipment and computer equipment.
Experience working with HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, VISTRO, Corsim, Microstation/Geopak, SignCAD, and Rodel is desired.
