Telecommunications Installation Technician (Cable / Internet / Phone)

Description

The Installation Technician installs and wires telecommunications services for homes and businesses, reporting directly to the Installation Manager. • Stay current with emerging telecom technology and make decisions under pressure.
• Prioritize and organize tasks, displaying sound judgment and initiative.
• Install cable TV, internet, and phone services in residential and commercial locations.
• Analyze and measure RF levels, record readings, and resolve signal issues.
• Adhere to scheduled appointments, complete work orders, and ensure services meet customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate installed equipment operation to customers.
• Update job status using company software.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the work truck.
• Communicate effectively to foster positive employee and customer relations.
• Assist coworkers with installations and follow all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Pass CrimShield background check, drug test, and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Lift up to 80 lb, work on ladders, heights, and confined spaces while using proper safety equipment.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English; work independently with confidentiality.
• Maintain high ethical standards and excellent verbal and written communication.
