Process Engineer - Wastewater

Description

This hands-on role will be responsible for plant performance monitoring, debottlenecking, process troubleshooting, optimisation, and commissioning support across industrial and mining projects.

A new opportunity exists for a Process Operations Engineer to provide process and operational support to a large and complex treatment plant facility in Perth Metro.

You will work closely with both site and engineering teams to ensure plants operate at optimum performance, meeting quality, compliance, and efficiency targets.

• Work with data and SCADA systems to analyse trends and identify improvement opportunities.
• Liaise with clients, operators, and design engineers to ensure plant performance meets contractual obligations.
• Support development of operational procedures, process control strategies, and training materials.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of plant performance issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of process design and operational practices.
• Monitor and optimise process performance across operating plants.
• Provide process engineering support during commissioning and ramp-up phases.

Requirements

• Experience with RO, UF and other membrane filtration technologies is a MUST
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with hands-on operational mindset.
• Minimum 8 years' experience in process or operations engineering within water, wastewater, or similar process industries in Australia.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Process Engineering.
