The Role

Overview

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning across Greater Manchester police sites.

Tasks

-Work alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the estate -Responsible for ensuring cleaning materials and chemicals are available at all sites -To undertake any allocated jobs as directed by Maintenance Manager, in line with requests sent via PDA/mobile devices -To carry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant rooms. -To respond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns and ensure all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt manner

What You Bring

-Good customer care and people skills -Basic fabric handyperson skills -Knowledge of Health and Safety procedures -Requirement to achieve and retain relevant GMP vetting clearance -Required to attend training programmes as necessary to meet contract requirements and for self-development purposes. -Experience in a maintenance role and of PPM completion is desirable -Must have a full valid UK driving licence due to requirement to travel between sites across Greater Manchester -Ability to work well in a team or unsupervised
