The Group Controller role is a senior leader responsible for building a best‑in‑class shared services organization and partnering with the senior leadership team. The position requires driving process transformations, technology implementations and overseeing core accounting functions while leading a geographically dispersed team.
The Group Controller oversees core accounting functions, ensures GAAP compliance, and drives efficiency through automation and strong internal controls. They collaborate with regional finance leaders and mentor a dispersed accounting team.
- Lead full‑cycle accounting for accounts payable, revenue, inventory, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Manage month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes for assigned accounting areas.
- Implement and oversee procure‑to‑pay and inventory management system transformations.
- Design and maintain internal controls to ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness.
- Build relationships with regional finance leaders to deliver accurate and timely financial statements.
- Mentor and develop a geographically diverse accounting team.
- Coordinate with external auditors to support audit and tax engagements.
- Drive standardization and continuous process improvement through technology and automation.

Candidates must have 12+ years of public or private accounting experience, a bachelor’s degree (CPA required), and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Experience includes multi‑location accounting, leading decentralized teams, and implementing systems such as procure‑to‑pay, inventory management, and preferably Sage Intacct. Strong communication, strategic problem‑solving and project management skills are essential.

- Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills for senior leadership audiences.
