The Technical Trainer will develop training materials and deliver instruction on rotary drill assembly, maintenance, component testing, and machine systems. The trainer ensures employees perform duties correctly, comply with policies, and meet quality and productivity expectations while creating engaging learning activities that enhance retention and knowledge transfer.
Core duties include organizing training manuals, reference libraries, testing procedures, and multimedia visual aids; conducting technical training sessions on standard operating procedures; performing training needs assessments; developing and maintaining competency matrices; identifying competency gaps and designing programs to close them; and measuring training effectiveness with assessment tools.
The role also involves providing constructive feedback and coaching, supporting production schedules with hands‑on manufacturing tasks when needed, and setting up both theoretical and practical training areas with a focus on learner safety. Special projects may be assigned as required.
Applicants need at least a high school diploma or GED with relevant technical experience; a technical college degree or bachelor’s is preferred. Required skills include three or more years creating and delivering instructor‑led technical content, familiarity with virtual classroom tools and learning management systems, and the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Desired technical knowledge covers hand and power tools, DC and AC electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical repair, heavy‑equipment operation, PLC/CanBus software, and the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics. Experience with Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Illustrator, basic HTML, and Photoshop is advantageous.
