- Testing of structured cabling system components to telecommunications standards, including radio frequency test equipment operation and data collection
- Preparing test reports, including electrical and mechanical measurements, collection and summary of data
- Assist in the engineering lab with the maintenance and calibration of their test equipment and fixturing
- Maintain proper inventory of hand-tools, consumable items and components necessary to sustain operability of the laboratory
- Provide production sustaining support with product sample testing, troubleshooting, test fixture fabrication and maintenance
- Perform electrical and mechanical testing on development prototypes
- Assist design engineers with development of product models, fixtures and prototypes
- Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards

- Organizational Skills - Keep work area clean and organized to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
- Adaptable - Flexible to adapt to new tasks, technologies, processes, and project requirements
- Through-hole and surface mount soldering skills preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an engineering technician
- Electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills preferred
- Problem-Solver - Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
- Ability to work with laboratory instrumentation and field test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, handheld link testers, and environmental chambers
- Associate degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school
- Ability to operate test equipment
- Hand tools, soldering, electronic device assembly, machine tools, low voltage electrical and structured cabling installation preferred.
