What you would be doing

Testing of structured cabling system components to telecommunications standards, including radio frequency test equipment operation and data collection
Preparing test reports, including electrical and mechanical measurements, collection and summary of data
Assist in the engineering lab with the maintenance and calibration of their test equipment and fixturing
Maintain proper inventory of hand-tools, consumable items and components necessary to sustain operability of the laboratory
Provide production sustaining support with product sample testing, troubleshooting, test fixture fabrication and maintenance
Perform electrical and mechanical testing on development prototypes
Assist design engineers with development of product models, fixtures and prototypes
Attention to Detail - Ensure accuracy in work product, documentation, and processes to maintain high standards

Through-hole and surface mount soldering skills preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience as an engineering technician
Problem-Solver - Strong problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions
Ability to work with laboratory instrumentation and field test equipment such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, handheld link testers, and environmental chambers
Associate degree (A. A.) from two-year college or technical school
Ability to operate test equipment
Hand tools, soldering, electronic device assembly, machine tools, low voltage electrical and structured cabling installation preferred.
