The role leads and supervises a team of Technical Project Managers (TPM) and Customer Order Engineers (COE) to meet Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) objectives. It involves assigning specific tasks, conducting periodic reviews, and ensuring strong execution of contracts from the initial transfer meeting with the Product Sales Specialist (PSS).
The leader assumes ownership of orders at transfer, defines action plans to resolve outstanding issues, and reports the gross margin of booked orders. They are responsible for directing all customer project management activities.
Risk and opportunity management includes performing project reviews, monitoring budgets, and detecting opportunities to raise claims when customers deviate from contract terms or specifications.
Customer satisfaction is maintained by addressing customer responses promptly, coordinating with customer care to resolve warranty issues, managing disputes, and planning productive Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) visits.
Receivables management involves invoicing customers according to contractual milestones, improving cash-in, and following up to reduce overdue amounts in line with business objectives.
Engineering & Construction (E&C) coordination requires providing forecasts for resource planning, delivering monthly updates on contracts needing E&C support, and invoicing E&C services.
Required qualifications include a master’s degree from an accredited university (or a bachelor’s degree with at least six years of leadership experience in project management within a manufacturing environment). Desired characteristics are strong oral and written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, proven problem‑solving ability, and established project management expertise.
