The BIM manager’s role is to understand existing project workflow in GPL, establish BIM workflow and implement the workflow in GPL projects. The primary responsibility involves preparation and implementation of BIM execution plan including goal and uses, responsibility matrix, deliverable list, delivery schedule, BIM standard development, model review, coordination, quality control etc., for all BIM projects at GPL.
- Identify processes/procedures in own work area that need improvement.
- Manage & Groom BIM team for Projects & automation initiatives.
- Support each project team by managingand creating contentlibrary files and templates, creating and enforcing standards.
- Analyze and solve BIM user issuesProcess Improvement.
- Prepare and implement BIM execution plan, BIM Goals and uses, BIM responsibility matrix
- Comply with company-defined guidelines and process adherenceto meet project timelines.
- Review and coordinate ASMEP BIM modelsat various LOD levels
- Manage software products including but not limited to incorporating new version releases, maintaining legacy software and customizing software for specific organizational needs.
- Ensure compliance to the BEP guidelines by design consultants throughout the project duration Software.
- Provide fundamental and intermediate trainingin-house staff on BIM process & BIM tools.
- Communicate benefitsof BIM within the organization, Execute BIM workshops, BIM trainings & walk-throughs to site team.
- Drive BIM adoption with a BIM mandate to design consultants across live Projects
- Oversee BIM adoption organization-wide, including installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting all BIM initiatives.
- Provide technicalorientation to new recruits regarding BIM tools.
- Maintain high level of competency in software throughcontinued use and training.
- Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM Responsibility Area Key Activities Training and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure BIM consultants pro-actively collaborate with Principal design consultants and extract deliverables.
- Review clash detection in software such as Navisworks
- Facilitate preparation of rendered images and VR walk throughProcess Processes Adherence
- Ensure qualitycontrol for BIM deliverables.
- Attend conferences, seminars, and workshopsfor BIM, bringingback learning and disseminating the information to appropriate teams Sales and Marketing.
- Identify BIM deliverables and timelines, align with construction schedule
- Develop and implement BIM workflow
- Participate in periodic reviewmeetings on project progress
- Act as single point of contact for BIM consultants and ensure that the BIM deliverables are provided in a form suitable to the project needs.
- Recommend processimprovement ideas to streamline efficiency/costs/productivity.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, and/or equivalent 3D, 4D and 5D software is essential.
- Must have good communications and interpersonal skills Abilityto set priorities in an efficient and timely manner to meet essential job functions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team possess a strong work ethic.
- Must be versed in local industry BIM initiatives and internationally recognized BIM initiatives, standards, protocols and mandates like BS1192 and ISO19650 General knowledge of integrated architectural and engineering practice Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience of managing building projects with knowledge of BIM setup & workflow (Execution plan, goals and uses, responsibility matrix, quality control), collaboration, technical coordination and deliverable production
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Flag constraints and clear bottlenecks in a timelymanner
- B. Arch/ Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering.
