Individual may manage multiple subordinate supervisors and other support staff. Individual will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsible for the communication, implementation and enforcement of Gray’s safety program on site.
  • Assist MEP Project Manager in locating and evaluating potential subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
  • Assist in the development of MEP project schedule within the entire construction schedule. Prepare estimates in areas of MEP self-performed work and assist in complete project estimate. Individual poses the ability to assist in coordination/management of all trades throughout build process.
  • Studies specifications to assist planning procedures for construction on the basis of start and completion times and staffing requirements for each phase of construction.
  • Solicit prices from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for review and approval by MEP Project Managers. (This will be based on a list of subs and vendors established by the MEP Project Manager and MEP Site Manager at the beginning of project.)
  • Assist in the preparation of various reports, i.e. cost to complete, monthly billings and status reports.
  • Responsible for procurement of tools and materials to be delivered at specified times to conform to work schedules.
  • Prepares or review reports on progress, materials used and costs, and adjusts work schedules as indicated by reports and/or direction from MEP Project Manager.
  • Schedule work, including subcontractors.
  • Assist in selection of qualified bidders and negotiate final prices.
  • Determine materials, equipment and tools needed.
  • Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase orders for MEP Project Manger's review and approval.
  • Coordinate and manage on-site construction activities from pre-start-up to completion.
  • Assist in ensuring customer satisfaction with the project.
  • Confers with and directs supervisory personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specification, and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
  • Review all drawings, i.e. P&IDs, Mechanical, Electrical, Shop, Architectural, Structural, etc. when they are issued to the field and coordinate and maintain a current set at all times.
  • Establish and maintain high safety and quality standards in accordance to company, industry standard, and job specifications.
  • Will insure the company QMS program is used and maintained in accordance to company standards. Individual will be able to generate reports and traceability for continuous improvement.
  • Serve as on-site Safety Officer when one is not specifically assigned to the project. And also, will be required to participate in the company’s safety portion of the QMS program.
  • Individual will consult with supervisory personnel to resolve complaints and grievances within the work force.
  • Secure appropriate supply sources.
  • Set up and close out construction site.
  • Assist in pricing work, draft changes and change orders to be reviewed by MEP Project Manager.
  • Assist in developing scopes of work for review and approval of MEP Project/Site Manager.

Must have completed the USACE "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" training class.

Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and a minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and talk or hear. They are regularly required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 lbs. Specific vision abilities include accurate near and distant vision.
