Work closely with the customers, partners and suppliers on project implementation activities like site survey, design/build of CLS, installation, testing and commissioning of submarine cable and terminal equipment and follow up regularly to get all activities completed on time.
To evaluate the optimum cable route through desktop study by engaging with relevant vendors, drive Invitation to Tender process by capturing the Cable owners/Joint Build Partners’ requirements, evaluation of bids, adjudication and selection of vendors by forming various metrics of evaluation.
This position serves as a subject matter expert and a point of contact for the customers and partners on the implementation of the subsea cable cable projects.
Conduct periodic review meetings with partners/customers/stakeholders and various vendors/providers to discuss about performance, issues and related action items.
Development and finalization of supply contract with the subsea cable vendors by close coordination with the Joint build partners, internal legal team and various stakeholders.
Ensure that the customers obtain their relevant statutory permits in their respective countries for initial installation with regular follow-up and providing necessary support to them as well as coordination with the supplier.
Work with the submarine cable vendors & partners and drive the implementation of the submarine cable system including design, manufacturing and installation activities.
Work with the Joint build partners, customers and internal business/commercial teams and plan for new subsea cable projects through diverse, secure and practical routes that meet all stakeholders needs and where there is a customer demand.
Collaborate with the landing service providers, vendors, partners and various internal teams and ensure that the purchasers’ deliverable items (say permits, cable landing station, fronthaul route, wayleave/lease for the land, etc.) are made ready on or before the target timelines, which also includes the formulation and execution of agreements from the technical aspects.
Convert the business requirements into detailed engineering specifications by evaluating the industry trends, proven state of art technology, cost optimization, future proofing, optimum fiber pair count, etc.
