Under the direction of the site manager and an experienced technician, the Renewable Energy Technician assists with maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair of wind turbines, photovoltaic power, and energy storage systems while upholding EDFps core values of safety, teamwork, respect, passion, transparency, good sense, and accountability.
The position is located on‑site in Moapa, NV, and involves 100 % field work on renewable assets with occasional office tasks. Work requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment, operating on platforms or skids, and may include overtime, night shifts, and exposure to extreme weather, high voltage, moving mechanical parts, confined spaces, and moderate noise levels.
All new technicians must complete a mandatory five‑week training and certification program in Albert Lea, MN, with travel, accommodation, and expenses covered by the company.
Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of experience in the renewable energy sector or a related field. Required skills include basic computer knowledge, a valid driver’s license, the ability to follow verbal and written instructions, and strong verbal and written communication in English. Knowledge of electronics, mechanical components, and measurement devices is a plus.
Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 50 lb, perform tasks with hands, fingers, arms, and legs, and work at heights greater than 300 ft. Employees must meet a weight limit of 285 lb for fall‑arrest equipment, possess good hand‑eye coordination, vision, and hearing, and be comfortable working in extreme weather, heights, and confined spaces.

The hourly pay range for this role is $22.69 to $47.74, with a good‑faith estimated starting rate of $25.00 to $40.00. Salary decisions consider factors such as relevant experience, education, performance, internal equity, and geographic location.
