Prepare construction plans and models using OpenBridge Designer and associated software.
Conduct bridge assessments, load ratings, and rehabilitation investigations.
Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
Deliver creative, practical solutions that meet DOT and AASHTO standards.
Perform structural design and analysis of bridges, culverts, and related transportation structures.
Prepare technical reports, specifications and cost estimates for transportation structures.
Work directly with DOT clients and project teams to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and DOT representatives to ensure project requirements are met.

5+ years
Strong knowledge of AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications and related codes.
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software (OpenBridge Designer , RC Pier, STAAD, , MicroStation or other commercial bridge design software).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with NC Department of Transportation standards and processes preferred but not required.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant structural bridge design experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain quickly).
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) required, Master's degree a plus.
