Develops strategic plans to address current and future engineering and maintenance challenges for the department and plant. Conducts performance reviews to enhance organizational performance while overseeing Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Tool Design, Maintenance, and Program Management.
Leads implementation of operating capacity plans, facilities programs, business systems, and product introductions, and manages approved capital programs aligned with profit and strategic goals. Directs engineering services to integrate Industry 4.0 changes, supports EHS procedures to promote a Zero Incident Culture, and champions continuous improvement using lean tools such as VSM, RIE, A3, WSRA and PFMEA.
- Create and execute strategic engineering and maintenance plans.
- Conduct performance reviews to improve organizational outcomes.
- Manage engineering functions including manufacturing, systems, tool design, maintenance, and program management.
- Develop and implement operating capacity, facilities, business systems, and product introduction plans.
- Oversee capital programs to support profit and strategic objectives.
- Deploy Industry 4.0 initiatives across factory operations.
- Support EHS training and drive a Zero Incident Culture.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using VSM, RIE, A3, WSRA, PFMEA, and other EBS tools.
- Coordinate departmental priorities and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
- Ensure flawless launch of new products or product lines.
- Apply Lean, Six‑Sigma, and problem‑solving tools for operational improvement.
- Maintain professionalism through staff selection, training, and development.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science or related field, at least three years of people‑management experience and five years in manufacturing engineering. Preferred qualifications include Program Management Certification, Six Sigma Green Belt, strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency with Lean and Six‑Sigma methodologies. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Highland, IL (military exemptions apply).
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of direct people‑management experience and 5 years in manufacturing engineering.
- Possess Program Management Certification and Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
