Key responsibilities include daily administrative tasks such as timecard submission and equipment inspections, as well as field duties like operating drill rigs and meeting production goals. The role collaborates closely with the Construction Director, project managers, and environmental scientists to execute drilling projects while maintaining a clean, organized job site and ensuring equipment upkeep. A safety‑conscious attitude and strong teamwork are essential, as is strict adherence to deadlines, time management, and effective communication. The position is based in Colorado with minimal travel required.
Work is performed in an outdoor field environment exposing the employee to varying weather conditions and contaminated soils, requiring consistent use of PPE. Physical demands involve standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lb, and being on feet for 2‑3 hours at a time throughout the day.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of environmental or geotechnical drilling experience, a valid CDL‑A, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Preferred qualifications include OSHA 10‑hour and HAZWOPER 40‑hour certifications, five or more years of drilling experience, and knowledge of oil‑and‑gas operations, environmental remediation, and soil‑boring classification.
This is an experienced‑level, full‑time position located in Wheat Ridge, Colorado, with a day shift and hourly pay ranging from $28 to $35. The Drilling Technician reports to the Construction Director and works primarily on site in Greeley, CO.
