Tasks

We are seeking a Service Investigation Engineer to lead failure analyses and reliability improvement activities for in-service defense engine hardware. The ideal candidate will diagnose root causes, define corrective actions, and support updates to service documentation to enhance product safety, reliability, and performance. -Develop corrective action plans and provide engineering justification for service bulletins and technical directives. -Present investigation findings to internal stakeholders and DoD customers. -Conduct fatigue and fracture mechanics evaluations to determine failure mechanisms. -Maintain documentation of findings and recommendations in compliance with program standards. -Coordinate with design, materials, and quality teams to implement long-term reliability solutions. -Perform failure analysis (FA) and root cause analysis (RCA) on returned or field-experienced components.

What You Bring

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Experience Range: 3–10 Years -Proficiency in fatigue and fracture analysis techniques. -Familiarity with DoD service reporting and quality systems. -Prior experience with aerospace propulsion or defense hardware investigations. -Strong data visualization and reporting skills using Power BI or similar tools. -Experience in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies. -Understanding of aerospace materials, maintenance practices, and component life management. -B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Materials Engineering (or related discipline). -Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
