Evaluates and review third-party engineering conceptual designs, quotations, and drawing for accuracy and communicate deficiencies for resolution in the company's best interest.
Ensure quality control by taking responsibility for schedule coordination and evaluating, recommending and preparing contract change orders as necessary.

Obtain certification and conformance to current government regulations for new and modified structures.
Assists in developing and implementing training for standard software packages for use in the project management process.
Prepare project documents including project justifications, budget analyses, calculations, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and schedules for assigned facility projects including commissioning and handover to operations.
Performs field inspections by visiting job sites regularly and for extended periods. Regularly reports on project progress.
Fosters Teamwork and Cooperation – Foster a sense of collaboration and work effectively across the organization to achieve goals.
Work with process engineering and maintenance personnel (electrical, mechanical, civil engineers) to implement projects, either on their behalf, jointly, or in an advisory role, depending on the project.
Coordinates construction inspection and testing activities. Identifies deficiencies and acts to rectify them.
Assists in the development of standard specifications for construction projects and contract documents.
Assures that assigned contractors for projects conform to required health and safety procedures and practices.
Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng), PMP is preferred
4 Year University Degree in Mechanical, electrical, civil, mining, Electronic Instrumentation and Technology or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing projects in heavy construction and/or process industry.
Understands contract requirements and negotiation, building code requirements, construction inspection procedures, process area methods, and plant electrical requirements.
Adapts and Learns – Work effectively in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities and rapid change while actively developing one's skills and capabilities.
Compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the CRH OH&S Program
Communications – communicate with impact and create and environment in which people communicate honestly and openly. Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
Thorough understanding of all aspects of cement plant operations
Analysis and Problem-Solving – Effectively examine events, issues and problems and generate optimal solutions in a timely manner.
Ability to work in an outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise
Ability to assess projects and monitor costs
