Shadow senior engineers, inspectors, and construction managers to gain exposure to construction management practices.
Participate in project meetings with contractors, engineers, and agency representatives.
Maintain organized project records, including submittals, RFIs, correspondence, meeting minutes, and change order logs.
Monitor site conditions for adherence to safety protocols.
Review basic construction plans, specifications, and schedules with guidance from senior staff.
Communicate observations and issues clearly to senior staff for resolution.
Support preparation of status reports, schedules, and cost tracking updates.
Document daily construction activities, quantities, and conditions in inspection reports.
Support quality assurance/quality control for work in place, including material verification/testing, testing coordination with others, and field measurements.
Report on any unsafe practices or conditions to supervisory staff immediately.
Assist with on-site inspection of construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and safety requirements.
