Practice Development Manager - Water Resources
Rk&K
Multidiscipline planning, engineering, environmental and construction management firm delivering creative solutions.
Grow Colorado water resources practice, lead eco-restoration projects, manage business development.
Detail project analysis and prepare permit applications for oversight agencies to address the full range of environmental issues and conditions associated with water resources projects
Serve as subject matter expert on civil engineering plans and design reviews.
Meet and work directly with other design team members including project manager, project engineers, design technicians, drafters, surveyors, contractors, inspectors, public agency officials, and clients
Provide office and site visit support for projects in construction
Maintain, develop, and enhance customer relationships while marketing RK&K services in water resources
Serve as a technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentor for junior engineers within the Water Resources Practice to empower the team.
Mentor, build, and develop a team of highly skilled technical leaders and future project managers
Lead, develop, and deliver world class design solutions, impact studies, and mitigation strategies to our existing and new portfolio of public/private sector water resources customers
Provide excellent client services with a focus on quality and timeliness
Grow market and technical presence within Colorado through working with the RK&K team to prioritize client pursuits, build client relationships, provide client management, identify opportunities, and support competitive proposal pursuits.

Excellent Communication skills and attention to details with a team-work attitude is a must
Work within multi-discipline projects with the ability to multi-task and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience interfacing with clients and successfully leading eco-restoration or water resources projects.
Demonstrated experience pursuing and winning stormwater or water resources projects through a competitive RFP/Q process.
Demonstrated experience with stormwater management planning / design and flood risk planning / mitigation.
Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado
Ten (10)+ years of experience in environmental permitting and eco-restoration project management
10 years’ experience in stream stabilization planning and design
