Senior Transportation Engineer

Requirements

• Clear passion for transportation and experience as a consultant.
• Familiarity with DOT-specific guidelines and standards in Arizona – ADOT, MAG, MCDOT, PAG.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field required.
• High degree of functionality in and understanding of AutoCAD Civil3D, AutoCAD, and/or Microstation, InRoads, Open Roads Designer.
• 8-15 years of experience related to technical focus areas referenced above.
• Technical proficiency in transportation design and/or operations.
• Demonstrated experience working on design elements of any of the following: traffic signals, roundabouts, service interchanges, bicycle/pedestrian projects, signing and striping, and construction traffic control plans.
• Background in three-dimensional roadway, intersection, interchange, or multimodal design.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state where you will primarily deliver work.
• Experience in preparation and development of construction documents and supporting reports, plans, quantities, and estimates using highway design manuals, NCHRP guidelines, AASHTO policies, MUTCD, and local design criteria.
