Electrical Site Supervisor

Description

• Order and manage hired / internal / external equipment daily.
• Schedule, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of gangs/site operatives.
• Work in accordance with Anglian Water Electrical Safety rules & procedures.
• Share and pass on knowledge to site teams.
• Assist in project management from design to delivery in particular the electrical engineers within SPA and external design companies.
• Ensure all electrical plant and equipment is tested and details recorded on the plant sheets for SPA and ensure the subcontractor’s information is supplied prior to use. Get it right first time, check quality of finished product delivered by your teams ensuring product is completed to a high standard.
• Manage and control of plant and materials ensuring correct amount of plant on site at any time.
• Ensure completion of a full Induction to H&S in accordance with Company policies, procedures, standards &/or guidance
• Implement SPA Integrated Management System requirements and statutory legal regulations paying specific attention to HSE legislation.
• Ensure site team understand and complete all required SPA documentation & site team understand fully.
• Co-ordinate delivery/pick up of materials as required in line with the program and Site Manager.
• Oversee Electrician’s or Electrical sub-contractors and commissioning engineers and assist with commissioning phase, issue permits when required to control electrical works/isolations on site

Requirements

• Ability to read electrical drawings, panel drawings and wiring diagrams
• A good understanding of WIMES Water (Water Industry Mechanical & Electrical Specifications)
• Health, Safety and Environmental Management (IOSH or Construction Managers Safety Certificate)
• Willingness to work outside of normal working hours to suit emergencies and planned impact planned work.
• Test and Inspection 2394/2395 (2391)
• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role
• Industrial Electrical Knowledge inc power and controls systems inc PLC
• Be open to new technologies & procedures.
• Willingness to undertake self-delivered minor electrical installation works
• CSCS Electrical Supervisor Card
• UPS Systems - AP
• Full UK Driving License
• BS7671 18th edition qualified electrician
• To be willing to undertake extensive further training specific to the role
• Understanding of permit systems
• First Aid qualification
• Strong communications, collaboration and stakeholder management
