As part of the automation team, you’ll keep projects moving by supporting data‑center startups, performing on‑site mechanical, electrical, and control checks, and leading startup, checkout, and acceptance testing for warehouse fulfillment and manufacturing systems. You’ll partner with automation and controls engineers to test, troubleshoot, and validate systems, while providing clear communication and updates to customers and project teams. Rotating travel schedules such as 5‑on‑2‑off, 10‑on‑4‑off, or 14‑on‑7‑off mean each project brings new challenges and locations.
Those who prefer being on the move over sitting at a desk will find a fit at ProAutomated. We are opening our 2026 hiring pipeline for curious, adaptable problem‑solvers who love travel, hands‑on work, and a team that knows your name. Our four‑week paid training prepares technically skilled individuals, requiring a basic foundation in electrical systems, programming, and communication networking.
We seek individuals who love travel and are willing to be away from home on rotation, with a personal vehicle available within 45 days of hire. Required qualifications include a working knowledge of electrical systems, programming, and communication networking, strong communication and problem‑solving skills, and adaptability when plans change. Candidates must live within 50 miles of a major airport, be authorized to work in the U.S., and hold a technical degree or 3+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, or automation engineering.
The role demands physical abilities such as walking long distances, climbing ladders or heights, lifting up to 50 lb, and working in varied environments including construction sites and outdoor conditions; reasonable accommodations are available. ProAutomated is an equal‑opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, and we welcome applicants who meet the qualifications.
Working with us combines travel and work, letting you experience new cities while tackling unique projects and earning travel rewards.
