Chairing site meetings with the contractor, client and other stakeholders, and prepare meeting minutes.
Review Contractor’s Work Plans.
Preparing inspection reports.
Monitor and ensure Contractor’s compliance with the approved Contractor’s Quality Plan. Monitor Contractor compliance with the Contractor’s Safety and Health Plan and with specific Safe Work Plans.
Review reports, payroll certifications and other labor documentation from the contractor.
Driving and ensuring contractor deliverables are met.
Providing regular status reports to Construction Services Department Manager.
Verifying that quality standards and project deadlines are met.
Perform review of Contractor’s schedules, Baseline and updates, in coordination with client requirements.
Performing observation of field testing and commissioning.
Maintenance quantities logs. Response to RFI’s, Prepare a punch list with the owner upon completion of the project, Review of change orders and issuance of recommendations.
Direct coordination with the client's Project Representatives.
Managing day-to-day construction management/construction inspection operations on-site, including oversight of construction contractor operations.
Maintaining client satisfaction.
This role may manage one or more construction/field engineers.
Review of shop drawings and specifications to assure proper installation of the items in the contract
Provide staff mentoring.
Construction contract administration, including pay requisitions, change orders, and correspondence from pre-construction through closeout.

Excellent English language skills, written and verbal.
7+ years of related construction inspection experience in a supervisory capacity
Chicago Transit Authority (CTA), Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT), or Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways (DoTH) experience is strongly preferred.
eBuilder, or CDOT CMQA experience
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel) etc.
This position will be on-site and requires a high level of construction engineering management experience.
Illinois Professional Engineer licensure or equivalent
OSHA 10 hr certification or ability to obtain.
B.S. Degree in a Engineering or Construction Management.
