- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and implementing safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleaning standards are met and maintained. Address any issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
- Hands-On Cleaning: Participate in cleaning tasks as needed, setting an example for the team and ensuring high standards are consistently achieved.
- Support Manager: motivate a team of cleaning staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance.
- Communication: Liaise with other departments and stakeholders to coordinate cleaning activities and address any specific requirements or concerns.
- Scheduling: Develop and manage cleaning schedules to ensure all areas are covered and tasks are completed in a timely manner.

- Experience with waste reduction initiatives and programs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning and environmental services.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- IOSHH OR ABOVE.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of and commitment to sustainable practices in cleaning and environmental management.
- Proven experience in a cleaning or environmental services role, with at least 2 years in a support manager role position.
- Experience in developing and managing winter strategies, including gritting and snow removal.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
