Description

• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests.
• Conduct routine facility inspections to identify repair needs and safety concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, building entrances, outdoor areas, and general facility spaces.
• Support waste management, including trash removal and ensuring proper use of waste containers.
• Repair leaks, unclog drains, replace fixtures, and support basic plumbing tasks.
• Complete carpentry work including door repairs, framing, shelving, and furniture assembly.
• Handle flooring repairs, drywall patching, painting, plastering, and surface restoration.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed.
• Replace outlets, switches, lighting components, and resolve minor electrical issues.
• Assist with basic landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming, and outdoor upkeep.
• Maintain door seals, filters, and general building components to prevent system failures.
• Perform scheduled equipment checks and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform minor and major repairs across electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems.
• Coordinate with contractors when specialized repairs are required.
• Inspect, repair, and maintain facility tools, machines, and appliances.
• Clearly communicate job status, timelines, and repair needs to supervisors and staff.
• Conduct installations, replacements, and occasional demolitions as needed throughout the facility.

Requirements

Summary: The Handyman is responsible for performing a wide range of repair, upkeep, and improvement tasks across the facility. This role ensures that building systems, equipment, interior/exterior areas, and general operations remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on experience in general maintenance, demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities, and can independently handle diverse repair tasks while maintaining high service and safety standards.

• Diagnose issues related to equipment, building systems, and facility components.
• Operate basic warehouse equipment; forklift experience preferred.
