  • Continuously evolve technology understanding and improve control room solutions.
  • Adhere to departmental processes for engagement, solution development, and pricing.
  • Communicate design details to Consulting, Architectural Design, and Construction Services teams.
  • Balance solution development with customer needs, budget constraints, partner relationships, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop conceptual AV&T solutions based on customer operational needs, in collaboration with Evans’ Consulting team.
  • Drive continuous improvement and learn from failures.
  • Prepare detailed pricing using internal tools and vendor quotes for hardware, software, integration, training, and maintenance.
  • Develop AV&T component lists for console integration and Technical Solutions Guide (TSG).
  • Build strong relationships with manufacturers and integration partners.
  • Coordinate AV&T demos and proof-of-concept evaluations for customers.
  • Foster teamwork and diversity.
  • Define and achieve goals through KPIs.
  • Relationship-building and trust development with stakeholders.
  • Create detailed AV&T designs including hardware, software, cabling, displays, switches, and audio components.
  • Present technology vision to customers and ensure accurate, functional, and budget-compliant designs.
  • Make data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure timely creation and approval of project documentation.
  • Take ownership and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Report issues using appropriate tools and apply continuous improvement practices to enhance solution quality and customer experience.

Evans is seeking a skilled AV & Technology Designer to join our Global Technology Solutions (GTS) team. This pivotal role focuses on developing and implementing Audio Visual and Technology (AV&T) solutions tailored for Control Room (CR) environments. The AV & Technology Designer will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high-performance, secure, and user-friendly technology solutions that meet industry-specific requirements.

  • Be visible, accessible, and provide coaching.
  • Understanding of AV&T integration from design to execution.
  • Practical application of design principles and technology.
  • Extensive experience designing AV systems for Control Room applications.
  • College diploma or university degree in AV, IT, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Strong research skills and technical learning drive.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience in developing AV&T diagrams, Bills of Material, pricing, and cabling/power requirements.
  • Knowledge of KVM systems and IT infrastructure integration.
  • Excellent prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel nationally and internationally on short notice.
  • Ability to convey high-level vision and detailed designs to diverse audiences.
